About Adam Gant
Adam Gant grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley. He studied engineering physics at the University of British Columbia, but in the course of his studies he decided to pursue a career in real estate development and finance.
Today, Gant works with REAfe Advisory in Vancouver, providing practical solutions to real estate businesses looking for innovative ways to streamline operations, increase returns and manage funding.
Based in Victoria, British Columbia, Adam Gant is a leading voice when it comes to creating solutions to solve the global housing affordability crisis. He learned a great deal from the challenges real estate professionals faced in the 2008-2009 worldwide financial crisis. During this period he traveled the world, from Southeast Asia and Singapore to Eastern Europe, conducting in-depth research on mortgage markets and housing, including how central bank strategies, immigration policy and market trends interact to raise costs and limit supply. Out of this experience came his bold new concept of shared equity.
Adam Gant’s commitment to providing housing for families extends to charities focused on shelter, human rights, education, poverty alleviation and economic empowerment. As a leading real estate professional, he knows that one of the best ways to eliminate poverty is to support organizations who work to strengthen communities by building needed infrastructure, from private homes to health clinics.
